EIGHTH GRADE COMMENCEMENT EXERCISES
(From the Bratenahl Bailiwick, Summer 1981)
On Friday, June 26, 1981, the Elementary School held its Eight Grade Commencement exercise. Mr. William Mack, the speaker for the commencement gave a hard-hitting and inspiring speech in reference to “Sorting out their lives and reasonable expectations for the future.” Mrs. Laird Landis presented the diplomas to the Graduates.

1981 HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION
(From the Bratenahl Bailiwick, Summer 1981)
The tenth commencement exercises of Bratenahl High School were held on Friday, June 12 at 7:30 p.m. The commencement speaker for the class was Lt. Col. John S. Boeman, who spoke on the hardest career a person could pick “parenthood.” Mr. James E. O’Meara, the board member of the Cleveland Board, presented the diplomas to Mrs. Laird Landis who presented them to the graduates. At the end of the program as the graduates were leaving the auditorium a tape played telling what each graduate would be doing the next year.
After the ceremony, the Home Economics classes and the Junior class served refreshments in the Library. The senior dinner was held at the Brown Derby restaurant in Rte. 306.
