John MacLennan was born on June 10, 1858, and died on February 1, 1907. Georgia was born on March 18, 1867, and died on October 8, 1927. The home later burned to the ground.
Ruth Faulkner Hayward acquired the property from Lyman Rhodes and Barney York, trustees for the estate of Georgia MacLennan, on March 6, 1942.
Ruth was born on June 24, 1897, and died on June 8, 1973
Lewis and Jean Sothern acquired the 2.07 acres from Central Trust Company, trustee for Ruth Hayword on June 18, 1945. Lewis designed the 1,600 square foot home using stone from Amherst Ohio and cedar single. The home had with three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
Allen J. Perse (unmarried) acquired the home from George Wallo, administrator for the will of Jean Sothern, on December 18, 1986. Mr. Perse died on May 20, 2014.
William and Kelly Masters acquired the home from Janet Schuster, executor of the estate on Allen J. Perse, on March 18, 2016. An addition was added to the west side of the home in 2020.
