Bean Blossom Harrison, Teacher and School Superintendent\n\t<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/bratenahlhistorical.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Kathryn-M.-Bean-Blossom-199x300.jpg\" alt=\"Kathryn M. Bean Blossom Harrison\n\t<p>Kathryn M. Bean Blossom was born in 1888, the daughter of Thomas A. and Ida Bean Blossom.\u00a0 On October 2, 1908, the Bratenahl School Board employed her as a teacher in the Primary Department of the Bratenahl School.\u00a0 She taught grammar to the students.\u00a0 She taught at the Bratenahl School for the next three years.<\/p>\n<p>In the Spring of 1911, when <a href=\"https:\/\/bratenahlhistorical.org\/index.php\/h-a-redfield-3\/\">H. A. Redfield <\/a>announced that he was leaving his position as School Superintendent, School Board representatives consulted with Bean Blossom to learn if she was interested in the position.\u00a0 She agreed. \u00a0On May 5, 1911, Kathryn Bean Blossom was employed as the second Bratenahl School Superintendent and Principal.\u00a0 She held the office for two years, through the completion of the 1912-1913 School Year.\u00a0 She was succeeded by <a href=\"https:\/\/bratenahlhistorical.org\/index.php\/sara-a-bair\/\">Sara Bair<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Kathryn Bean Blossom gave up her employment as superintendent because she was soon to be married.\u00a0 On September 23, 1913, Kathryn married Howard H. Harrison of Athens, Michigan.\u00a0 Shortly after their marriage, the Harrisons moved to Jasper, Alabama.\u00a0 No additional information on Kathryn Bean Blossom Harrison is currently available regarding her life after she left Bratenahl.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/bratenahlhistorical.org\/index.php\/schools\/\" target=\"_self\" role=\"button\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tBack to Schools\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/bratenahlhistorical.org\/index.php\/schools\/staff-and-administration-list\/\" target=\"_self\" role=\"button\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tStaff and Admin List\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Schools Staff and Administration Kathryn M.
