After three years with Alfred Granger and six years with Abram Garfield, Frank Meade formed a partnership with James Hamilton in 1911 that was to last for thirty years.<\/p>\n<p>Frank B. Meade was born in Norwalk, Ohio. He studied in Boston and worked as a draftsman in the office of William LeBaron Jenney in Chicago. In 1911 Meade succeeded John Carrere as a member of the Cleveland Group Plan Commission.<\/p>\n\t<p>Meade &amp; Hamilton designed six additional Bratenahl residences: the Corning home at <a href=\"https:\/\/bratenahlhistorical.org\/index.php\/281-corning\/\"><strong>281<\/strong> <strong>Corning<\/strong><\/a><strong>,<\/strong> the Bulkley home at <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/bratenahlhistorical.org\/index.php\/282-corning\/\">282 Corning<\/a><\/strong>, the Haysmar Complex at <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/bratenahlhistorical.org\/index.php\/10221-lake-shore\/\">10221 Lake Shore<\/a><\/strong>, the Sheffield home at <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/bratenahlhistorical.org\/index.php\/13003-lake-shore\/\">13003 Lake Shore<\/a><\/strong>, the Coe home at <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/bratenahlhistorical.org\/index.php\/13393-lake-shore\/\">13303 Lake Shore<\/a><\/strong>, and the Johnson home at<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/bratenahlhistorical.org\/index.php\/13405-lake-shore\/\"> 13405 Lake Shore<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The Strong home had five bedrooms with five full bathrooms and two half bathrooms. Charles&#8217;s older sister, Sophia Elizabeth Strong Taylor, would later build Lakehurst at 193 Bratenahl Road.<\/p>\n<p>Bratenahl Development acquired the home from Rachel Strong De Boisgelin and Keziah Strong Hoyt on November 10, 1960.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/bratenahlhistorical.org\/index.php\/john-donnelly\/\"><strong>John Donnelly<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/bratenahlhistorical.org\/index.php\/eileen-m-donnelly-bratenahl-school-advocate\/\"><strong>Eileen Donnelly<\/strong><\/a> acquired the home on December 23, 1966.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Michael<\/strong> and <strong>Nancy Marn<\/strong> acquired the home on July 31, 1991.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Laurelee Howley<\/strong> acquired the home on November 4, 2000.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thomas<\/strong> and <strong>Carol McDonald<\/strong> acquired the home on March 3, 2005.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/bratenahlhistorical.org\/index.php\/places\/\" target=\"_self\" role=\"button\" rel=\"noopener\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tBack to Places\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/bratenahlhistorical.org\/index.php\/places\/homes-current-list\/\" target=\"_self\" role=\"button\" rel=\"noopener\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tCurrent Homes List\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Places Homes Current 10494 Lake Shore Boulevard Plat No. 631-15-001 and 631-15-002 This home is listed in the Ohio Historic Inventory 10494 Lake Shore Boulevard Belle Marks acquired the property from Louis Grossman on December 8, 1915.
