\n\t\tDavid Dornback\n\tDavid Dornback lived his entire life in Bratenahl, dedicated to public service. He was first elected to Bratenahl Village Council in 1976 and served for 28 years until 2003. His committee assignments included the Planning Commission, Public Improvements, Finance, and Public Safety.<\/p>\n
He was scoutmaster of Bratenahl\u2019s Troop 301, a youth counselor at the YMCA, a pioneer member of the Bratenahl Villagers (precursor to today\u2019s Recreation Committee).\u00a0 Thirty-one years were spent at Dornback Furnace, starting in the stockroom and working up to a corporate director. He then spent 20 years of retailing with Brooks Brothers in Tower City Center in Cleveland.<\/p>\n
David Allen Dornback and his fraternal twin brother, Donald Lee, were born on July 19, 1929, and attended Bratenahl School. David went on to Kirk Junior High School, followed by graduation from Shaw High School. His graduation party at the William Dornback home was so successful that The Plain Dealer <\/em>wrote a story.\u00a0Following high school, he graduated from Kent State University.<\/p>\n He married Ann Hayden.
