He was educated in the Sibley Public and the University School in Asheville, North Carolina. He went on to graduate from the Sheffield Scientific School at Yale University.<\/p>\n<p>Following college, he married Gladys Cottingham. She was born in 1890 to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/bratenahlhistorical.org\/index.php\/walter-cottingham\/\">Walter and Gertrude Cottingham<\/a><\/strong> who lived at <a href=\"https:\/\/bratenahlhistorical.org\/index.php\/9717-lake-shore-williamson\/\"><strong>9717 Lake Shore Boulevard<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Frank&#8217;s father, D. Edward Dangler, founded the Dangler Stove Company that merged in 1902 with eight other companies to become the American Stove Company. In 1929 they produced the revolutionary &#8220;Magic Chef&#8221; brand. In 1931 the company became the Hotpoint Division of the General Electric Company.<\/p>\n<p>Dangler was a member of the Delta Phi fraternity plus The Country and Kirtland Country Clubs. He died on October 12, 1942. Gladys died on January 18, 1967.
